“Comics Care” Event to
Benefit Saratoga Hospital Cancer Patient Fund
SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY, October 27, 2016 – Jodi Weiner and her husband, fellow comedian Vinnie Mark, are passionate about paying it forward. Inspired by the care received while Jodi underwent treatment for two cancers in the past three years at Saratoga Hospital’s Mollie Wilmot Radiation Oncology Center (ROC), Jodi and Vinnie are giving back the best way they know how – by making people laugh.
Weiner, Mark, and fellow comedian Chris Monty, will appear in “Comics Care: Comedians Touched by Cancer Give Back” on Thursday, November 10 at the Embassy Suites in Saratoga Springs. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. for 8:00 p.m. show time. Reservations are $25 per person. Proceeds from the event, including an on-site raffle, will benefit Saratoga Hospital’s Cancer Patient Fund.
The hospital’s Cancer Patient Fund enhances the quality of care provided to oncology patients by covering expenses that insurance won’t, such as dietary supplements, wigs, transportation, and even food. The fund allows Saratoga Hospital to provide an unparalleled support network and ease the financial burden that often accompanies a cancer diagnosis.
The three comedians have extensive experience performing on TV (Weiner on ABC’s “The View” and Comedy Central, Mark on Letterman and VH1, Monty on HBO’s “Vinyl”), in film (Monty in “Paul Blart Mall Cop 2”), and live (both Weiner and Mark on multiple USO tours and at The Borgata Casino). Event seating is limited and reservations are recommended.
Dinner and pre-show cocktails will be available from 5:30-8:00 p.m. at the Diamond Club Grill at the hotel.
