Flexible Spending Accounts

Please remember you must re-enroll in flexible spending annually during Open Enrollment to have the benefit for the following year!


Our FSA, administered through Lifetime Benefits Solutions, offers two account options:

  1. Healthcare account for unreimbursed medical expenses up to $2,750.
  2. Dependent care account for childcare costs up to $5,000. 

Should the IRS announce a change in the maximum reimbursement allowed, we will notify employees by email.

Amounts are withheld on a pretax basis.
Plan offers a “debit” card, (which is good for 3 years) to provide ease of use and less claim paperwork.

**Keep your receipts for purchases made with your Flexible Spending card. Lifetime Benefit Solutions may request you substantiate your purchase**

Plan offers a grace period, allowing expenses incurred between January 1st and March 15th of the following calendar year, to be paid with prior year funds. For plan years 2020 and 2021 only, the grace period has been extended to December 31st of the following plan year. This means you have until December 31, 2021 to use your 2020 plan year funds, and until December 31, 2022 to use your 2021 plan year funds.

Eligibility

  • Part time and full time employees budgeted @ a minimum of 36 hours for 12 hr employees and 37.5 for all other employees per pay period
