Malta Med Emergent Care is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No appointment needed.
Malta Med brings Urgent Care and Emergency Care, X-ray, ultrasound, and laboratory services closer to our patients in southern Saratoga County. The emergent care team includes emergency-medicine physicians from Albany Medical Center—one of many advantages resulting from an emergent-care partnership between Saratoga Hospital and Albany Med.
An emergent care center is a cross between a hospital emergency department and an urgent care center:
- Treatment of medical issues that would send you to
an urgent care center.
- The added comfort and security of doctors prepared
to diagnose and treat more serious problems.
Plus, we are able to monitor your condition on-site for up to 24 hours, if necessary. If you need inpatient care, you will be transferred to either Saratoga Hospital or Albany Medical Center, depending on your specific needs.
Common types of conditions treated at Malta Med include:
- Sprains and fractures
- Stomach pain, vomiting, or diarrhea
- Minor eye injuries, infections, or irritation
- Rashes and minor burns
- Urinary tract infections
- Routine gynecological problems
- Wounds and lacerations
If you believe that you or a loved one is experiencing a potentially life-threatening medical issue, you should call 911. But for nearly any other problem, come to Malta Med where our highly trained staff is waiting to assist you any time of the day or night, 365 days of the year.
This outpatient center is conveniently located off of Exit 12 of the Northway on Route 67 heading west.
Malta Med Emergent Care offers the following:
- Walk-in Emergent Care, including nighttime and weekend hours. No appointment is necessary.
