MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) uses radio waves and a strong magnet to capture remarkable images of internal organs and tissues. This technology is ideal for detecting spine and joint problems because it provides such clear pictures of soft tissue near and around bones. In addition, it is an excellent, noninvasive way to diagnose coronary artery disease and heart problems, and to view the brain, lungs, liver, kidney, spleen, pancreas, and other organs.
We offer these imaging services at 3 locations:
- Saratoga Hospital—traditional, closed MRI
- Wilton Medical Arts—“open bore” MRI for larger patients or those who are claustrophobic
- Malta Med Emergent Care – also an “open bore” MRI
All three units combine superior diagnostic detail with a revolutionary, patient-friendly design. Radiologists examine every image. These physicians are fellowship trained and board certified in orthopedic and neurological Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
