Margaret R. Lane, BS, RN, is an Addiction Medicine nurse at Saratoga Community Health Center. As a part of the Saratoga Hospital Medical Group – Addiction Medicine team, she assesses and rooms patients, handles triage and phone calls, completes prior authorizations, and supports
Behavioral Health and Primary Care as needed.
Margaret has been a registered nurse for 31 years. She been part of the Saratoga Community Health Center team since October 2018, and she has worked at Saratoga Hospital on and off for 12 years. One of the most interesting aspects of her job, she says, is in the variety of patients she sees.
“Addiction does not play favorites,” Margaret says. “It affects all types of people. I went into nursing because I wanted to help people and make a difference in their lives. I chose Addiction Medicine because I lost a family member to the disease, and want to help people struggling with addiction. I want to do my best to make sure other families will not go through the same awful experience my family has.”
Margaret is happy to be a part of an organization that she feels truly cares for patients, including the people her team serves. “I feel valued and appreciated in my position here,” she says. “I work with exceptional people. They make me proud to be a part of Saratoga Hospital.”
When not at work, Margaret enjoys spending time with her husband, children and eight grandchildren, as well as cooking, traveling, writing, volunteering, and being with friends.
