SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY, January 4, 2016 – The celebration of the new year has a whole new meaning for the parents of baby girl Hira Yavuz.

Hira was the first New Year’s Day baby born in 2016 at Saratoga Hospital, arriving at 5:11 PM on Friday, January 1.

Little Hira – 7 pounds, 10.6 ounces and 21 inches long – is the daughter of Gulcan and Zafer Yavuz of Ballston Spa, NY. Her mother, Gulcan Yavuz, is a patient of Saratoga Midwifery.

Hira has one older brother.
