Dr. Romel H. Gobunsuy Joins Pulmonary and
Sleep Medicine Team at Saratoga Hospital
SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY, October 24, 2016—Dr. Romel H. Gobunsuy has joined Saratoga Hospital Medical Group’s pulmonary and sleep medicine practice.
A specialist in respiratory diseases, Dr. Gobunsuy treats patients at the Hospital—including those in the Marylou Whitney and Desmond DelGiacco, MD, Intensive Care Unit (ICU)—and at the new Saratoga Hospital Center for Sleep Disorders.
“Dr. Gobunsuy brings invaluable experience and expertise to two recently opened facilities: our world-class ICU and state-of-the-art sleep lab,” said Dr. Richard Falivena, vice president and chief medical and physician integration officer at Saratoga Hospital. “Our investments in these facilities—including in technology and talent—are yet another example of Saratoga Hospital’s commitment to meet our community’s healthcare needs right here, close to home.”
Dr. Gobunsuy is fellowship trained in pulmonary medicine and certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, with subspecialty certifications in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine. He earned a medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine, completed an internship and residency at Staten Island University Hospital, and completed fellowship training at Albany Medical College.
