Saratoga Hospital to Host Free Back and Neck Screenings
SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY, April 18, 2018—The Regional Therapy Center of Saratoga Hospital is hosting a back and neck screening at the Regional Therapy Center at The Springs on Weibel Avenue. This free community screening, “Back in Motion,” will take place on Saturday, April 28 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Registration is required.
Prevention is the focus of this event. The screenings are ideal for adults seeking useful tips and techniques to maintain good back and neck health, understand warning signs, and avoid making an occasional discomfort become something more serious. These screenings are not meant to treat or diagnose spinal conditions.
Physical and occupational therapists from the Regional Therapy Center will screen participants’ necks and backs for normal mobility and posture, as well as upper body, lower body, and core strength. Participants will also be educated on how to minimize strain and injury to the neck and back so they can remain active.
The Regional Therapy Center at The Springs on Weibel Avenue offers outpatient physical and occupational therapy and athletic training. In addition to a fully-equipped rehabilitation gym, this location offers an area with a special plyometric and dance rehabilitation-sprung floor. Wheelchair accessible with plenty of parking, it is located at 9 Hampstead Place, Suite 107, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
Registration is required for this free event.
To register, call Saratoga Hospital’s HealthSource line at (518) 580-2450 or visit saratogahospital.org/classes.
