Elizabeth Valentine, MD Joins Saratoga Hematology/Oncology at Malta

Dr-Elizabeth-ValentineSARATOGA SPRINGS, NY  August 19, 2016 – Saratoga Hospital has announced Elizabeth Valentine, MD has joined the Saratoga Hematology/Oncology at Malta practice. The practice focuses on preventing and treating cancer and blood disorders, including leukemias, anemias, and bleeding and clotting conditions, as well as a focus on genetic risk assessment counseling.

Dr. Valentine was fellowship-trained at SUNY Upstate Medical Center and has Board Certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification in Hematology and Oncology. She is a member of the Saratoga Hospital Medical Group, the hospital’s multi-specialty practice.

“We are indeed fortunate to have Dr. Valentine join our medical group,” said Richard Falivena, DO, MPH, vice president, chief medical and physician integration officer at Saratoga Hospital. “She brings to our team more than 20 years of oncology and hematology practice experience in our greater Saratoga community. She also brings a remarkable reputation as a compassionate, committed oncologist to our Malta campus.”

“When I first started my medical career, there were no women practitioners in my field in the Saratoga area,” said Dr. Valentine. “I felt that anyone confronting the possibility – or the reality – of cancer should not be limited if they preferred seeing a woman. That’s still important to me, and fortunately to the hospital as well. I’m excited to join the Saratoga Hospital team and all of the specialists my patients will have access to within our medical group.”

Saratoga Hematology/Oncology at Malta is located at Northway Exit 12 in the Saratoga Medical Park at Malta. The medical park also includes the Saratoga Hospital Outpatient Infusion Center. Dr. Valentine’s office can be reached at 518.289.2717, or visit saratogahospital.org for more information.
