The Saratoga Hospital Department of Public Safety provides proactive protective services at the main hospital campus as well as our offsite locations. Available 24 hours per day, 365 days a year, we are here to help ensure all our patients, visitors and staff have a safe and secure environment while at any of our facilities.
Public Safety Officers are trained professionals licensed by the New York State Department of Licensing through the Department of Criminal Justice Services. Many of our members have obtained college degrees, are prior law enforcement or have military experience. In addition, our officers participate in the progressive credentialing program offered through the International Association of Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS).

In addition to monitoring our security systems and responding to all emergency situations, the Public Safety Department supports the safe environment of care by being available for:

- Lost and Found
- Patrol
- Motorist Assistance
- Investigative Services
Our office is located on the 1st floor of the main hospital campus adjacent to the walk-in entrance of the Emergency Department.
We encourage patients, visitors and employees to report all criminal activity or anything that might seem out of the ordinary to our Public Safety Department.
