Pharmacists are an important part of the healthcare team. They answer questions from patients related to taking medications as prescribed, and are a resource when it comes to managing chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension. The pharmacists at the Community Pharmacy are accessible to patients recently discharged from Saratoga Hospital, as well as those receiving care at any of our offsite locations. The team is also happy to serve employees and members of the community.
There are a variety of over-the-counter, nonprescription medications available for purchase at the Community Pharmacy. At the time of purchase, the pharmacy team will be able to advise on taking the medication as directed on the label, potential side effects, and answer any other questions.
All patients who use The Community Pharmacy are encouraged to download the RxLocal mobile app, which provides a convenient way to stay connected. Patients are able to send a direct message to the pharmacist through a HIPAA-compliant system, manage prescriptions for their entire family, and request refills. The app will also send notifications when a prescription is ready for pickup.
The Community Pharmacy at Saratoga Hospital accepts the Caremark Prescription Plan. The team looks forward to adding additional plans, including commercial insurance as well as Medicare and Medicaid.
