Interventional pulmonology utilizes minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic tools to address lung conditions and disease. Our services include bronchoscopy, which can be done by EBUS (endobronchial ultrasound) for mediastinal sampling (lymph node biopsy) and can be done by navigational bronchoscopy, to biopsy a lung lesion or mass. We also provide thoracentesis – removal of fluid or air from the pleural space with a drainage catheter. Learn more about our highly accredited diagnostics and imaging services here.
Pulmonary rehabilitation is a comprehensive, medically supervised program that helps people who have chronic breathing problems to better breathe and function in daily life. The program may include exercise training, learning breathing techniques, tips on conserving your energy, and advice on nutrition and coping.
The core of our lung cancer screening is the low-dose computed tomography (LDCT), which uses X-ray technology to provide a detailed image of a patient’s lungs. This will help detect lung cancer in its early stage. Learn more about our highly accredited lung cancer screening services by contacting Cathy Vosburg at 518-580-2299.
Oximetry measures oxygen levels in a patient’s blood and can be done right in the office or at home overnight to evaluate whether you need oxygen supplementation.

A pulmonary function test helps us determine how well your lungs are working. We provide spirometry right in the office, a simple test to measure how much air you inhale, how much you exhale and how quickly you exhale. Additionally, we provide the methacholine challenge, (a test to determine asthma), and a full set of lung function tests to measure lung volumes and diffusion capacity.
Our pulmonary team is 100% focused on patient-centered care. Managing therapies for chronic conditions requires close collaboration between the pulmonary specialist, primary care physician, home care provider and the patient. To help assure consistency of care between the hospital and home, we work with the patient and the patient’s home care provider to manage the following therapies: oxygen therapy; nebulizer therapy; CPAP/ BiPAP therapy; and invasive/non-invasive ventilation.diagnostic-center
