Saratoga Hospital Medical Group – Endocrinology & Diabetes provides advanced diagnostic and medical treatment for diabetes, thyroid diseases, osteoporosis, and other conditions that can affect the endocrine system. Whether you’re seeking an expert diagnosis or help to manage a chronic condition, you benefit from a highly skilled team of board-certified physicians who provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
Endocrinology focuses on the endocrine system: the thyroid, parathyroid, pancreas, ovaries, testes, adrenal, pituitary, and hypothalamus. These glands produce hormones that help control reproduction, metabolism, and growth and development. Our endocrinology practice—the largest north of Albany—diagnoses and treats most endocrine-related disorders.
Saratoga Hospital Medical Group – Endocrinology & Diabetes offers our patients an outstanding team of board-certified physicians, employing the most up-to-date equipment and advanced diagnostic techniques. Physicians work hand in hand with our expert advanced nurse practitioner (ANP), physician assistants (PAs), and registered dietitians (RDs) and certified diabetes educators (CDEs) to provide the personal, compassionate care that you deserve.
Our endocrinology team is committed to taking the time to answer your questions, address your personal concerns, and help you achieve the best possible outcome. We also work closely with your primary care provider and other specialists so you benefit from consistent, coordinated care.

Our expert team provides comprehensive diabetes management services, including education and nutrition counseling to help you understand your condition and develop a diabetes management plan that meets your needs.
Thyroid disorders include Hashimoto’s disease, Graves’ disease, hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, goiter, thyroiditis, thyroid nodules, and thyroid cancer. Treatments may include thyroid hormone replacement medication, drug therapies to block hormone production, and radioactive iodine treatment. Lab work, imaging, and, if necessary, a thyroid biopsy will help us decide on the best course of treatment—including whether you might need surgery.
Osteoporosis diagnosis and treatment typically include a bone-density scan, other imaging tests, lab work, and possibly medications. Our team will discuss the causes of osteoporosis, how it might progress, and the importance of vitamin D. We also will recommend treatment tailored to your needs.
Some thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, and other endocrine-related conditions may require surgery. When that’s the case, we work closely with Saratoga Hospital’s endocrine surgeons to coordinate your care and help ensure the best possible outcomes. The Hospital’s surgeons are experienced in the most technologically advanced techniques. Whenever possible, these highly skilled physicians perform minimally invasive surgery to help shorten recovery time and minimize scar tissue.
If you have too little or too much calcium (hypocalcemia or hypercalcemia, respectively) that may affect your calcium balance and contribute to concerns such as kidney stones, muscle cramps, abnormal heart rhythms, and osteoporosis. Lab work and family history will help determine the best course of treatment, which may include calcium replacement.
Imaging plays a key role in diagnosing, treating, and monitoring cardiovascular disease. We offer advanced imaging services, under the guidance and expertise of highly skilled medical professionals.
We offer surgical services at two locations. Inpatient and outpatient surgery are performed at the Hospital. Outpatient surgery also is available at Saratoga Surgery Center, on our Wilton Campus.
Whenever possible, we offer a minimally invasive approach, which means less discomfort and scarring as well as faster recovery times. For certain conditions, both minimally invasive and advanced robot-assisted surgery options are offered, enabling our surgeons to perform even the most complex and delicate procedures with extreme precision. We do everything we can to make you feel comfortable and well cared for.
